Job Opening : Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Branch : Elmira, NY
Job Location(s) : Pediatric Home Care Client in Elmira NY
Rate : $25 / hour
Available Shifts : Overnights - 11pm-7am (Mon-Th), 11pm to 5am (Fri)
This opening is to provide care for a pediatric home care client.
DUTIES : This position is responsible for providing client health care services primarily on a part-time, intermittent basis. Services are provided under the direction of a registered nurse, and include preventive, supportive and rehabilitative activities in accordance with the Plan of Care and the Plan of Treatment. The LPN / RN participates in the development and periodic re-evaluation of the Plan of Care. The LPN / RN is responsible for observing, recording and reporting changes in the client's condition and responses to treatment. QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS :
- Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse currently licensed to practice in New York State, with at least six months experience as an LPN or RN and / or competent in knowledge and skills based on successful completion of the pre-employment nursing test and demonstration of skills.
- Must be competent in all skills required on assignment following case orientation and on the job training.
- Current certification in Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is required.
- Must be able to provide a reliable means of transportation and may be required to possess a valid drivers license.
- This position requires the completion of health examination and required tests / immunizations and the completion of annual health assessment thereafter to certify that the incumbent is free of communicable disease and physically capable of performing assigned duty.
