About the Corporate Communications Team:
The Corporate Communications team works under the direction of the Director of Corporate Communications. This dynamic team includes a Senior Communications Manager and Communications Review Specialists, Proposal Manager and Proposal Specialist, Public Relations Specialist, as well as a Content Manager and Copywriters. The Corporate Communications team works closely with the Marketing team, and together, these teams develop all strategic marketing and communications efforts for Careington, its affiliate companies and its clients and partners.
Corporate Communications is in the process of expanding the team to include a resource dedicated to responding to Requests for Proposals (RFP), Requests for Qualifications (RFQ), Requests for Information (RFI) and similar questionnaires, as well as researching and developing compelling grant proposals and applications. The role will also develop custom proposals and presentations to support sales initiatives. This dynamic role will allow the opportunity to collaborate with leadership across teams to develop compelling proposals that showcase the products and services the Careington companies offer in the healthcare benefits industry.
Position Overview & Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage end-to-end process for proposals and grant applications: identifying and assigning questions for feedback to various teams, writing content, collecting stakeholder feedback, editing responses, reviewing for accuracy, completing required forms, compiling supporting documents and organizing proposals for final submission

- Actively seek out and identify new federal and state grants as well as private funding resources.
- Collaborate with schools to complete grant applications and gather necessary information and documentation required for submissions
- Develop new content as well as utilize existing content from repository to develop compelling responses to RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, grant proposals/applications and other similar opportunities
- Translate technical information and business jargon into clear, consistent and compelling content
- Develop content and coordinate completion of custom sales proposals, presentations and other corporate communications.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Public Relations, Marketing, Advertising or related field
Experience with the development of RFP responses and sales proposals a plus, but not required; training will be provided
Experience with proposal management and RFP responses software a plus, but not required
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat Pro a plus, but not required
Education
Required- Bachelors or better in Communication or related field
- Bachelors or better in Journalism or related field
