Job Summary
The Activities Coordinator will develop and implement creative activities for CareLink's residents, in accordance with each resident's comprehensive assessment, as well as the interests and physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident. The activities program should provide stimulation or solace; promote physical, cognitive and / or emotional health and enhance, to the extent practical, each resident's physical and mental status, and promote each resident's self-respect by providing activities that support self-expression and choice. The Activities Coordinator must be devoted and compassionate about their chosen career and have a highly enthusiastic personality, as well as have experience supporting individuals living with behavioral and mental health diagnosis.
Schedule :
Monday through Friday 8 : 00am- 4 : 00pm
Pay Rate : 18.25 an hour
Essential Functions
- Conducts and / or assists with assignments and assigned activity groups.
- Organizes one-to-one activities utilizing interpersonal needs to meet resident's needs.
- Creates, plans and posts in advance group activities, recreational programs, special entertainment and special holiday events.
- Leads and participates in individual and group activities suited to meet the needs of the individual patients.
- Provides input and assistance with activity planning.
- Escorts residents to and from activities.
- Reports any changes in patient conduct or physical condition to the patient's nurse.
- Evaluates and records behavior, participation and progress of patients in groups and / or 1 : 1.
- Maintains necessary supply materials and equipment.
- Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned.

Qualifications
Required Education : High School Diploma or GED
Work Experience : Must have at least 1 year experience in conducting therapeutic group activities
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations Required : Valid Driver's License
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
