Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Provide patient care by ensuring medications are administered correctly, including IV infusions.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment, adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Process medication orders and verify the accuracy of prescriptions.
- Educate patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and storage requirements.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient service and medication management.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of medication administration and pharmacy activities.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
- Familiarity with hospital pharmacy operations, acute care settings, and medication administration processes is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and safety protocols in handling medications.
