The Center Appointment Specialist works alongside the medical center staff and is responsible for providing outstanding customer service and scheduling patients’ medical appointments in a production environment.

QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience as medical receptionist preferred.
  • ABILITIES / SKILLS

  • Must have the ability to learn and practice office procedures, policies, and protocols.
  • Required to have a command of the English and Spanish language and be proficient with grammar, spelling, and verbal skills to communicate with patients, providers, and staff in written and oral communication.
  • Must be proficient be proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledge with computers, scanners, etc.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answers incoming calls in a courteous & professional manner.
  • Schedules appointments by telephone and confirms all patient appointments on schedule including transportation.
  • Screens incoming calls.
  • Receives and conveys messages electronically, in writing and verbally.
  • Schedule appointments according to office scheduling policies.
  • Interact effectively with staff and patients to maintain a professional working environment.
  • Participates in staff & educational meetings.
  • Maintain a cheerful, positive, and respectful attitude.
  • Other duties as needed and / or assigned.
