Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving in home. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients while ensuring their safety and comfort while aging in place.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide mobility assistance, helping clients move safely within their home or facility.
- Monitor and record clients' health status and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Support clients with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Collaborate with our Registered Nurse while giving ADL care to our clients.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while providing care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of geriatrics and experience working in home care.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Certification to be a caregiver is mandatory.
Job Types: Full-time, Per diem
Pay: Up to $14.50 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 45 per week
