This is a full-time position based at our CareMed Specialty Pharmacy in New Hyde Park, New York. The hours will be 9:00-5:30 EST. We offer quarterly incentive bonuses as well as a possible $500 bonus for technicians to obtain their CPhT and/or CPhT-ADV credentials. Come and grow with us!

Starting salary from $25.00 an hour and up

Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician Functions:
- Dispense and package medications under the direction of the on-duty Pharmacist.
- Ensure that the pharmacy is in compliance with all applicable accreditation standards to maintain accreditation status.
- Ensure that all prescriptions are billed in accordance with Medicare/DMEPOS regulations and that all required information is documented on the hard copy prescription.
- Assist in resolving client/patient concerns and complaints.
- Assume on-call responsibilities in accordance with Company guidelines.
- Report product incidents as required in accordance with Company policy.
- Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies.
- Participate in the Company's Quality Improvement (QI)/Quality Assurance Program as requested by the QI Coordinators or Managers.
- Participate in Company committees when requested.
- Pursue continuing education programs appropriate to job responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Pharmacy Director (Supervising Pharmacist) and Clinical Staff Pharmacist(s).
- Packing, shipping, receiving and labeling tasks in association with the Company’s shipping operation.
- Provide great customer service while maintaining a courteous, professional demeanor at all times.
Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- High School Diploma or GED, required. Associates Degree or equivalent program from a two-year college or technical school, or certificate program in pharmacy or healthcare, preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience, required. 2-4 years of experience in retail or specialty pharmacy, preferred.
- Proficient in data entry, verbal skills, computer skills and the ability to learn the department’s software system.
