Key Responsibilities:
- Provide full-scope primary care services including diagnosis, treatment, preventative care, and health maintenance
- Lead the Care Team in medical decision-making and provide supervision/collaboration to NPs and PAs
- Perform HPI, physical exams, minor surgical procedures, and prescribe medications per state and professional guidelines
- Generate referrals for specialty care as needed
- Evaluate incoming reports, labs, diagnostic imaging, and direct timely follow-up
- Maintain accurate and timely EHR documentation
- Participate in quality assurance programs, peer reviews, and provider meetings
- Adhere to productivity and scheduling guidelines
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and all applicable regulations
- Stay updated on evidence-based primary care through continuing medical education (CME)
Requirements:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of New York
- Current DEA certification
- Board Eligible or Board Certified (must obtain certification within 18 months of hire if eligible)
- Current CPR certification
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) preferred
