Responsible for managing the procurement of goods and services, ensuring cost-effective purchasing, supplier management, and compliance with Economic Zone regulations. This role oversees sourcing strategies, contract negotiations, vendor relationships, and procurement budgets while ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality and regulatory standards. Additionally, this role facilitates compliance with Economic Zone policies, maximizing tax incentives and other benefits available to the organization.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals, optimize costs and supplier performance.
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and build long-term vendor relationships.
Ensure compliance with Economic zone regulations, securing tax incentives, and maintaining necessary permits and licenses.
Oversee procurement budgets, monitor spending, and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
Coordinate supply chain operations to ensure timely delivery of materials and services, optimizing inventory levels.
Manage procurement contracts, ensuring alignment with legal and regulatory requirements.
Stay updated on market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry best practices to enhance procurement strategies.
Assess and mitigate risks related to supplier reliability, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory changes.
Act as the primary liaison with Economic Zone authorities, representing the company in audits, inspections, and compliance matters.
Ensure proper documentation and reporting of procurement activities, supplier performance, and economic zone-related transactions.
Collaborate with internal teams to educate and advise on Economic zone guidelines, tax incentives, and regulatory benefits.
Work with government agencies and local authorities to maintain compliance with environmental and safety regulations in economic zones.
Lead and mentor the procurement team, ensuring efficiency, performance, and alignment with company objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
5 years of experience in procurement and Economic Zone processes , preferably in a BPO industry
Strong knowledge of regulations, tax incentives, and compliance requirements for economic zones.
Proven experience in supplier management, contract negotiations, and strategic sourcing.
Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Ariba, or equivalent).
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills with a track record of cost optimization and vendor performance management.
Strong financial acumen, with experience managing procurement budgets and cost-saving initiatives.
Ability to interpret and apply legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement and economic zones.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external agencies.
Experience working with government agencies and local regulatory bodies for licensing, documentation, and compliance matters.
Leadership experience, with the ability to manage and mentor procurement teams effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and business reporting tools for procurement analysis.
