CareOnSite, a division of Tang & Company which provides occupational medical services nationwide, has an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated Medical Assistant (MA) with strong clinical, computer and multi-tasking skills.
Pay Rate: $21 - $22 / hour
Job requirements include but are not limited to the following:
- Administers physical exams including vision, hearing, vitals, respiratory fit testing, drug and alcohol testing, and other testing as needed
- Performs basic lab tests and prepares specimens, administers medication and injections, performs blood draws, splinting, application of dressings
- Performs daily exam room and stock inspection, ensure supplies are adequate for patient care
- Assists attending medical provider during examinations and procedures
- Administrative duties such as scheduling patients, answering phone, maintaining patient charts
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations pertaining to professional certification, patient confidentiality pursuant to HIPAA, treatment and safety guidelines
- COVID duties - temperatures screens, questionnaire, vital signs, testing
- Performs other front and back-office duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Completion of a Medical Assistant (MA) course from an accredited/recognized school
- Medical Assistant (MA) certificate consistent with requirements specified by the State Medical Board
- Current BCLS with AED certificates
- Clinical experience is a plus
