Responsibilities and Qualifications
This position requires a highly motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide excellent patient care and support. The successful candidate will have a strong ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care by assessing patients' conditions, identifying changes in status, and reporting them promptly.
- Implement procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of care administration.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor patients for therapeutic response, and take necessary actions in the event of an unintended reaction.
- Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipate their needs, and resolve them proactively, ensuring outstanding care.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
Requirements:
- Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program, obtaining a BSN within 5 years of hire date into RN position. Grandfathering will be accepted between departments and Mission Health entities.
- Preferred Education: Master's in nursing.
- Required License/Certifications: Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing, eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON Certificate: BLS Health Care Provider.
- Preferred License/Certifications: National Certification in area of specialty.
- Required Experience: One year acute or post-acute experience.
