POSITION SUMMARY:
As the Communications Strategist, you will lead the development of strategic, high-quality content to amplify brand awareness and attract new users to the CarePortal community. This role calls for a versatile communicator skilled in creating internal and external content, supporting marketing initiatives, and utilizing tools such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Content Creation & Editing:
Serve as the primary content writer for CarePortal, overseeing the entire development process from initial concept and strategy to creation, editing, and proofreading. Develop both internal and external communication strategies, ensuring all content aligns with CarePortals brand voice and objectives.Email Marketing:
Manage CarePortals email campaigns via Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including newsletters, templates, and audience segmentation. Analyze performance and optimize strategies for future campaigns.Social media & Marketing Materials:
Collaborate with the marketing team on social media strategy and content creation to boost engagement. Work with the marketing team to produce publications like one-pagers and brochures to support the field team.Website Management:
Oversee website content, including monthly blog posts.Donor & Stakeholder Communications:
Create content to engage donors, volunteers, and partners through regular updates.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS YOU BRING TO THE ORGANIZATION:
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field required.
4-6 years combined experience in a communications or marketing role, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
Excellent writing, editing skills, and proofreading skills.
Strongly demonstrated creative writing skills (portfolio of past work welcomed but not required)
Meticulous in ensuring accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment in all materials.
Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills for cross-departmental teamwork and stakeholder engagement.
Proven experience utilizing AI to refine communication strategies and maximize engagement across diverse platforms.
Required familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar email marketing platforms.
Preferred experience with website management tools (e.g., WordPress) and SEO best practices.
