In this role you will provide care andsupport to individuals in their private homes while maintaining asafe and clean environment.
In doing so caregivers / companions willensure each clients dignity respect and independence. You will workunder the supervision of a licensed nurse and provide nonmedicalservices such as light housekeeping meal preparation warmcompanionship and medication reminders.
Although not a requirementwe strongly encourage those with CNA GNA and HHA credentials toapply.
EssentialDuties :
- Ensures clean safe living space (i.e. bathroomtoilets dishes laundry etc.)
- Assists clientwith walking and transportation to appointments outdoor activitieserrands etc.
- Records and reports any changesor concerns in behavior to the Director of Nursing via written andverbal communication
- Provides verbal remindersfor medication
- Plans prepares and serves mealsto client
- Accompanies and attends socialevents with clients
- Adheres to the establishedcare plan
- Administers duties with the utmostprofessionalism and respect
Knowledge Skills &Abilities :
- Must be 18 yearsof age or older with a HS diploma or GED
- Two(2) years of documented experience (preferably providing caregivingexperience with adults)
- Hold a valid nonexpireddrivers license
- Have current CPR / First AidCertification
- Can provide evidence of aNegative TB skin test or Chest Xray
- Able tobend stoop push and physically assist with needs of client
- Able to read write and understand English
- Ability to adhere to HIPAA and clientconfidentiality mandates
