Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential care and support to our clients in their homes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work independently while following established care plans.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, particularly those with Dementia or in hospice care.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper medication management.
- Observe and report changes in clients' health status or behavior to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider.
- Launder clothing and linens as needed, maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Help clients with mobility by lifting or transferring them safely when necessary.
- Follow HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality and privacy at all times.
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, meal preparation, and grocery shopping as required by the care plan.
Experience
- Previous experience in home care or a similar caregiving role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures and patient observation techniques is advantageous.
- Experience working with individuals who have dementia or require hospice care is a plus.
- Ability to learn new systems quickly and adapt to changing client needs is essential.
