Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with developmental disabilities. This role requires a blend of personal care, companionship, and practical support in a home or group home setting.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide patient observation and report any changes in health or behavior to the appropriate personnel.
- Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Foster a positive relationship with clients while respecting their dignity and privacy.
- Collaborate with family members and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.
Experience
- Previous experience in home care or senior care is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with direct support for individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Knowledge of CPR and first aid techniques is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
- Experience working in a group home setting is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, patience, and empathy are essential for success in this role.
