Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by helping them with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, and promoting their independence. This position requires a nurturing spirit and the ability to work effectively with individuals with various needs, including those with developmental disabilities and hospice care requirements.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes are communicated to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Implement care plans tailored to each client's specific needs and preferences.
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities through direct support services, promoting their independence and personal growth.
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist clients with mobility or transfers.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality and privacy.
- Administer CPR and first aid as required in emergency situations.
- Cook nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions or preferences of clients.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a caregiver or in a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of CPR techniques and ability to respond effectively in emergencies.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with hospice care practices is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and assist clients physically when needed.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in monitoring vital signs and implementing care plans effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate compassionately with clients and their families.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
