Caregiver

Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, whether they are in a home care setting, nursing home, or community care environment. This role requires patience, empathy, and the ability to observe and respond to the needs of patients effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Monitor patient health by observing changes in condition and reporting any concerns to healthcare professionals.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Help clients with mobility and physical exercises as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of patient care and progress in accordance with care plans.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams including nurses, social workers, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.
• Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance caregiving skills.

Requirements

• Previous experience in home care, nursing homes, or long-term care settings is preferred.
• Strong skills in patient observation and monitoring to recognize changes in client conditions.
• Familiarity with medication administration protocols and care plan implementation.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team-oriented environment.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
• Certification in caregiving or related fields is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to undergo training is essential.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Day shift
• Morning shift
• Overnight shift
• Rotating weekends
• Weekends as needed

Shift availability:

• Day Shift (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

Ability to Relocate:

• Dryden, MI 48428: Relocate before starting work (Required)
