Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being in various settings, including assisted living facilities, long-term care environments, and private homes. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, along with the ability to perform physical tasks as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support and assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health or behavior.
- Assist clients with mobility and transportation needs, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Engage clients in meaningful conversation and activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
- Document care provided and report any concerns or changes to the supervising nurse or family members.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including CPR and first aid procedures when required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in senior care, long-term care, or assisted living is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for client mobility support.
- Certification in CPR and first aid is highly desirable.
- Must be able to follow care plans and instructions accurately while maintaining confidentiality.
- A valid driver's license may be required based on client needs.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
