Job Description
In Home And Community Support Aide role involves working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide personal hygiene assistance, including showering, bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Help clients take prescribed medication and assist with ambulation.
- Support mobility around the house or outside, including doctor's appointments and walks.
- Assist with personal care and hygiene, plan and prepare meals, and help with physical therapy exercises.
- Complete client shopping or accompany them to do so successfully.
- Perform housekeeping duties and report any unusual incidents.
- Act quickly and responsibly in emergency situations.
- Offer activities essential for daily living by assisting patients with meals, serving, and other tasks if necessary.
Qualifications
- Eagerness to work one-on-one and continuously learn new skills.
- Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner.
- Availability to work different shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Willingness to enforce health and safety standards.
- Suitable education: High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver, CNA, or HHA, or completion of a CNA Program.
- A valid driver's license and own car are required.
