Job Summary :
The Customer Care Specialist I - Bilingual assists members or providers with routine service inquiries.
Essential Functions :
Resolve member or provider routine service inquiries; examples include claims processing, member benefit education, contracting and credentialing requests, eligibility inquiries, and transportation arrangementsEnsure all HIPAA and State requirements / regulations are always adhered toResearch, follow up, and resolve all open / pending issues in a timely manner to ensure member or provider satisfactionBuild and strengthen member or provider relationships by providing quality customer service.Maintain knowledge and understanding of all processes and proceduresAdhere to all departmental and company policies and proceduresMaintain complete and accurate documentation of all of telephone and written communicationsAct as a mentor to new hire employeesPerform any other job related instructions, as requestedEducation and Experience :
High School Diploma or equivalent is requiredTwo (2) years customer service experience is preferredCustomer Service experience in a call center is preferredExperience using multiple languages in a professional capacity is preferredCompetencies, Knowledge and Skills :
Fluency (speaking, reading, and writing) in multiple languages as determined by needs of business is requiredCritical thinking and listening skillsDecision making and problem-solving skillsComputer proficiency with knowledge and experience in a Windows environmentTyping speed of 35 words per minute (WPM)Strong written and communication skillsWorks well under pressureProfessional phone etiquetteProper use of grammarAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAdaptable to a constantly changing environmentAttention to detailAbility to multitaskAbility to work independently and with a teamLicensure and Certification :
