Job Description
Performs routine X-ray procedures as ordered by the providers. Insures that equipment necessary to perform related duties is operational, accessible and properly maintained. Assures compliance with all regulatory agencies. The duties include :
- Employee and patient relationships : Interact with employees and patients in a respectful and confidential manner consistent with the mission and values of CareSouth Carolina.
- Employee Competency : Conducts routine X-ray procedures, i.e., chest, skull series, extremities, sinus and abdominal images.
- Quality Control and Safety : Maintains required logs, i.e., retakes, preventive maintenance, i.e., eye wash station (if applicable) and tube warm-up.
- Safety : Performs cassette screen cleaning semi-annually, and apron testing annually.
- Timeliness : Monitors when images are sent to the radiologist, when images are read and when reports are received via computer.
- Employee Safety : Employees wear x-ray badge monitors at all times during work hours and use appropriate techniques to minimize exposure.
- Actively participates and is involved in Quality projects, develops PDSAs and is an employee that promotes change concepts within their position and with other positions as a team member at CSC.
