As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) at Continuum Therapy Partners, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our Occupational Therapists in delivering exceptional care to patients. You'll Be Responsible For:
- Collaborating with Occupational Therapists to implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs
- Providing direct occupational therapy services under the guidance & supervision of licensed therapists
- Assisting in conducting assessments to identify clients' strengths, challenges, & goals
- Facilitating therapeutic activities & exercises designed to enhance clients' fine & gross motor skills, cognitive abilities, & activities of daily living
- Documenting patients progress accurately & in a timely manner, adhering to all regulatory & organizational guidelines
- Educating clients & their families on home exercise programs & strategies for improving daily functioning.
- Contributing to team meetings, sharing insights & participating in collaborative care planning
- Staying informed about advancements in occupational therapy & participate in professional development activities to enhance skills & knowledge
- Upholding ethical & professional standards in all interactions with patients, families, & team members
- An Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate & collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
- Compassionate & client-centered approach to therapy
- Excellent organizational & time-management skills
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, & ethical standards related to occupational therapy practice
