Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Monitor and document patient observations, reporting any changes in condition.
- Support clients with medication reminders and adherence to prescribed treatments.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's quality of life.
- Assist individuals with disabilities in daily living activities as needed.
Requirements
- Experience in home community care or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and patient care best practices.
- Familiarity with meal preparation for special dietary needs.
- Previous experience in long-term care or assisted living settings is advantageous.
- Understanding of dementia care principles is a plus.
- CPR certification is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
