Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our healthcare team. The LVN will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in pediatric care and triage, as well as proficiency in medical records and medical terminology. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional care to patients of all ages, including those in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU).
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical histories
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
- Provide direct patient care, including wound care, catheter care, and respiratory therapy
- Utilize medical records to track patient progress and identify potential issues
- Assist with patient triage, prioritizing care based on patient needs
- Participate in behavioral health assessments and develop individualized plans
- Monitor patients' vital signs and alert medical staff as necessary
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records using Athenahealth
- Prepare and maintain patient rooms, including ensuring cleanliness and organization
Requirements
- Current LVN license
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an LVN program or equivalent
- Current CPR certification
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in pediatric care, particularly in PICU settings
- Familiarity with Athenahealth electronic health record system
- Ability to work effectively with patients of all ages, including those with behavioral health needs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to lift, push, or pull heavy objects, as necessary
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends

Pay: $37.55 - $41.00 per hour
