CareStaff Partners seeks an experienced Special Education Teacher - (SPED) for a Travel or Local contract position at a School District in California.

Certifications : CA SPED Teachers License & Mild / Mod Credential
Pay Package : $53-58 per hour, based on experience.
Responsibilities and Job Duties :
Implement approved procedures for the identification of students with disabilities.
Complete all assigned case management responsibilities with appropriate documentation as needed.
Work cooperatively with principals and staff in planning appropriate activities for students to participate in the general education curriculum and the school.
Participate in parent / teacher conferences when requested.
Implement record-keeping procedures and maintain inventories for all materials checked out to the teacher.
Submit an inventory list of classroom materials and equipment at the end of the school year either during or before post planning week.
Implement programs for students with disabilities in the assigned schools and in accordance with system, state, and federal policies, and regulations.
Perform activities related to personal hygiene for students as needed following the Universal Precautions Guidelines.
Provide students with specially designed instruction in alignment with their Individualized Education Program.
Provide educational screeners and conduct observations as needed to determine student strengths and needs.
Complete all required reports, assessments, and forms in a timely manner.
Ensure compliant practices by conducting annual review Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings in a timely manner.
Monitor student progress through data collection and adjust services, supports, and specialized instruction as appropriate.
Complete required progress reports and documentation for IEP goals and objectives as required for each grading period.
Participate in IEP meetings as appropriate for eligibility, placement, manifestation determination, and annual review / amendments.
Follow all school, district, state, and federal policies, practices, procedures, rules and regulations.
Ensure confidentiality of all student, staff, parent, school, district, and stakeholder information.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
