What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Technician position at CareSTL Health?
POSITION TITLE: Environmental Technician
REPORTS TO: Environmental Technician Supervisor
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
CareSTL Health is seeking Environmental Technicians. The Environmental Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all buildings.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The following information is considered the definition of essential functions but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. The Environmental Technician may be reassigned duties and responsibilities at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other staffing reasons. Other duties may be assigned.
- Clean, vacuum, mop, and sanitize entire health clinic including all restrooms daily (i.e. toilets, sinks, and restroom floors), refill supplies as needed (hand soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue).
- Pick up trash on the outside of the building and parking lots on a daily basis
- Wash windows according to cleaning schedule
- Wash walls according to cleaning schedule
- Wipe down patient care areas on a daily basis
Other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- High School Diploma/GED as applicable
- Higher education as applicable
Experience:
- 3-5 year of experience preferred
Additional Information:
- Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
