Position Summary
This role is responsible for supporting the VP of Human Resources in all benefits objectives and working with external auditors, state and federal agencies, as well as engage in daily interaction and provide key support to our internal team and external customers.

BENEFITS and 401K ADMINISTRATION:
- Process benefits enrollments and manage the voluntary supplemental insurance database
- Benefit invoice reconciliation
- COBRA and Payroll Tax Credit Administration
- Support 401K payroll distribution and communication
- Work closely with Benefits Carrier on enrollments, changes, discrepancies
- Assist with benefit communication, enrollments, and notices
ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the front desk- Answer incoming calls, greet all visitors, handle mail, be the first impression people have with our company
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties. Assist with gathering and processing subcontract workers’ time
- Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources and other departments
- Assist with onboarding for new hires - process I-9 forms, E-Verify, new hire paperwork internal drug testing
- Assist payroll with entering new hires into payroll database, scan and file documents electronically
- Coordinate company related functions like employees’ birthdays, potlucks, and holiday celebrations
- Clerical support such as typing memos, letters, transmittals, and listings as backup and may organize / alphabetize filing
- Manages office supplies orders
- Provide assistance to various departments administrative needs when needed
- Other duties assigned by management
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Competencies
- This position requires an individual that is extremely detail oriented
- Demonstrated PC skills including expert proficiency in Excel
- Strong work ethic and team player
- High degree of professionalism and ability to deal with sensitive and confidential material
- Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills and ability to communicate with various levels of management

Education/Experience/Licenses
- High School Diploma or GED required – any college - preferred
- 2 year’s experience in benefits, 401K and workman’s comp – required
- Bilingual English/Spanish - required
- 3 year’s expert level experience in Excel - required

Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to lift and small carry parcels, packages and other items, to walk short distances, and may drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up materials
- The role is predominantly sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion.
