Summary/Objective
We currently have a full time position available for a Skilled Laborer with Heavy Equipment Operator experience. This is a hands-on position requiring strong expertise skills. The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for completing work assignments as directed by the Foreman. This is a position that is responsible for performing a variety of semi-skilled and skilled landscape construction tasks.

Candidates must have a broad working knowledge and experience in Equipment Operation of:
- Skid Steer
- Skip Loader
- Backhoe
- Mini-excavator
- Ride on trencher
- Granite shooter
Using hand and/or power tools or equipment to perform a wide range of landscape and irrigation duties
- Plants vegetation as instructed, grads, digs, spreads DG and rakes
- Follows directions from the Crew Leaders; performs landscape construction functions
- Clears trenches, digs holes, and performs handwork as necessary using a pick, shovel, or other hand tools
- Ensures work is performed to the company's and customer's expectations
- Finishes the work efficiently thereby improving gross margin
- Recognizes areas for improvement in the landscape and communicates this to the Crew Leader
- Maintains tools and equipment to ensure safety
- Performs general clean up at the work site
- Thinks ahead and completes tasks efficiently
- Attends safety meetings
- Demonstrates the ability to work independently
- Communicates well with others using basic English or Spanish
- PPE usage required at all times
- Plants vegetation as instructed
- Provides excellent service (e.g., accurate, complete, and timely) to clients, work-site partners, and company staff in a courteous and efficient manner

Education/Experience/Licenses
- A minimum of three full years of landscape, equipment operator, general construction experience
- Must display proficiency in use of landscape related equipment
- Must be skilled in all Equipment Operator basic repair and techniques of the equipment

Work Environment
- Ability to work in extreme conditions-temperatures may exceed 100 Degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended period of time
- In this role you may frequently stand, walk, climb or crouch on narrow or slippery surfaces that may have a steep incline
- Heavy work. Excreting up to 100 lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 50 lbs of force frequently and/or up to 20 lbs of force to move objects.
- You will stoop, kneel, bend to pick up and/or move objects and walk for long distances on potentially slop ground and uneven surfaces.
- Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs (mulch, fertilizer, etc.)
- Ability to bend, stoop and twist continuously throughout the day
- Work 8 hours per day with applicable breaks x 5 days/week (some overtime/weekend work required)
Physical Requirements
Frequently stand, walk, or crouch on narrow and/or slippery surfaces; stoop, kneel, bend to pick up or move objects; walk for long distances and on sloped ground and uneven surfaces; move, lift, and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds;

Travel Required
This position will require working at different job sites in the Tucson area.
