Job Summary
The Homecare Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing the scheduling of caregivers to ensure quality, timely, and efficient care for clients in their homes. This role involves collaborating with caregivers, clients, and healthcare professionals to optimize staffing assignments and respond to client needs effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scheduling and Coordination:
- Develop and manage caregiver schedules based on client needs and caregiver availability.
- Adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes in client requirements or caregiver availability.
- Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for caregivers regarding scheduling issues, changes, and assignments.
- Communicate effectively with clients and families to confirm care schedules and address any concerns.
- Resource Management:
- Maintain an up-to-date database of caregiver skills, availability, and preferences to facilitate optimal scheduling.
- Track and report on caregiver hours, overtime, and attendance.
- Problem-Solving:
- Quickly address and resolve scheduling conflicts and caregiver shortages.
- Implement contingency plans in case of emergencies or last-minute changes.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all scheduling practices comply with company policies, state regulations, and industry standards.
- Monitor client satisfaction and caregiver performance to make adjustments as needed.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of caregiver assignments and client interactions.
- Prepare reports on scheduling efficiency, caregiver utilization, and client feedback.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Assoicate degree (required)
- Experience:
- 2 years office experience (required)
- Previous experience in scheduling, healthcare, or caregiving is a plus.
- Familiarity with in-home care services and client needs.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
