As part of our commitment to a safe, sanitary, and professional facility, we are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Veterinary Custodian to join our team.
Position Overview:
The Veterinary Custodian will be responsible for maintaining a clean and hygienic environment throughout our clinic. This includes cleaning and sanitizing animal treatment areas, exam rooms, waiting areas, restrooms, and other general spaces. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and a passion for cleanliness and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and disinfect animal exam rooms, and treatment areas
- Sanitize public areas such as waiting rooms and restrooms
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout the clinic
- Remove trash and ensure proper disposal of waste
- Maintain cleanliness of the exterior premises and parking lot
- Ensure that all cleaning supplies are properly stocked and available
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards
- Report any issues related to facility maintenance or cleanliness to the supervisor
Qualifications:
- Previous janitorial or cleaning experience (preferred, but not required)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely
- Knowledge of infection control and sanitation procedures in a healthcare setting (preferred)
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and perform cleaning duties as required
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Must be available M-F between 5-8pm
