Job Responsibilities
A Physician Assistant's typical day includes:
- Collaborating with center clinical staff to ensure patient care
- Providing treatment of illnesses and injuries; ordering labs and diagnostic tests, and prescribing medications for children and adults
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual patient care appropriate to the patient's age
- Performing common urgent care procedures, such as wound repair, abscess drainage, splinting, EKG interpretation, and X-ray interpretation
Requirements
- Masters degree and certification
- Current NP State License in the applicable state
- Experience as a provider in emergency medicine or urgent care
- Credentialed to see patients of all ages
- Active DEA license with no restrictions
- Current DOT certification or ability to become certified
Work Schedule
Our centers are open seven days a week, 8AM to 8PM. Per diem employees must work at least three 12-hour shifts per month.
