What You’ll Do
- Provide full strategic and operational leadership with P&L ownership, setting the vision for company growth and performance.
- Execute lean manufacturing initiatives and drive change management across departments.
- Cultivate and maintain a high-performing culture that emphasizes safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Build and nurture strong customer and vendor relationships; proactively support and grow the machining and thermal coating business segments.
- Oversee technical excellence across operations, including machining capabilities and quality assurance processes.
- Lead the development and implementation of a robust sales and marketing strategy, with an emphasis on driving business development and expanding market reach.
- Actively manage and follow up on all sales opportunities, including quotes, proposals, referrals, and new lead generation.
- Conduct market analysis and identify cross-selling opportunities, new product innovations, and avenues for promoting new facility and coating technologies.
- Deliver timely and insightful sales reports, forecasts, and funnel analytics to track performance and inform strategic decisions.
- Complete the implementation of the ERP system, identifying resource gaps and establishing readiness for transition from legacy systems.
- Enforce and sustain comprehensive 5S protocols at the physical plant to align with safety and operational excellence initiatives.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and onboarding of personnel required to operate newly acquired machinery and support business expansion.
- Design and implement a second shift production plan to align with long-term growth strategies.
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors to standardize financial reporting and strategic communication.
- Prepare and lead quarterly board meetings, providing concise updates on KPIs, growth initiatives, HR trends, and capital needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of proven executive leadership, including successful business transformation experience.
- Demonstrated financial and operational acumen, including full P&L management and data-driven decision-making.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead through influence and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Technologically adept, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with ERP systems.
- Effective problem solver with excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
- A track record of recruiting, developing, and retaining high-performing teams in a collaborative environment.
- An approachable and decisive leadership style that builds trust and aligns teams to shared goals.
- MBA or other advanced degree.
- Leadership experience in a machine shop environment.
- Hands-on familiarity with thermal or plasma spray coating technologies.
- A history of scaling a small business through sustainable growth strategies.
