Carey Baptist College Forrestdale, a private coeducational Christian school with open enrollment, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher (0.8 FTE) to join our vibrant and growing community. About The Role

In this role, you will teach a combination of Middle School Mathematics and Mathematics Essentials, supporting students with diverse learning needs and abilities. You will play a vital role in developing their numeracy skills, problem-solving abilities, and confidence in applying mathematical concepts to real-world situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and differentiated Mathematics lessons to Middle School and Mathematics Essentials students.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to succeed.
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in alignment with the Western Australian Curriculum and SCSA requirements.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials and share best practices.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to support student learning and well-being.
• Integrate Christian values into teaching and interactions with students, aligning with the College’s ethos.
  
  

Experience & Skills

• A commitment to the values and Christian ethos of Carey Baptist College.
• Relevant teaching qualifications and registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA).
• Experience teaching Middle School Mathematics and/or Mathematics Essentials.
• Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for student growth, numeracy development, and innovative teaching practices.
• Experience with evidence-based teaching strategies such as Visible Learning, Explicit Instruction, and AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) (desirable).
