Brief Summary:
The Promoting the Integration of Primary and Behavioral Healthcare (PIPBH) is designed to expand access to high-quality, integrated behavioral health services for youth, and young adults (ages 16-25) with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED) and co-occurring physical health or substance use conditions at the University of Tennessee at Martin.
The program will address the significant mental health disparities affecting college students by embedding behavioral health services into college health clinics. This program aims to improve mental health outcomes through targeted services including mental health screenings and assessments, individual and group counseling, medication management, and care coordination.
Qualifications:
A bachelors level professional who is cross trained in care coordination and Peer Support. Ensure that the Peer Support Specialist self-identifies as someone who has lived experience with a mental health challenge, substance abuse challenge, or co-occurring disorder Is a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) or Certified Young Adult Peer Support Specialist (CYAPSS), or if not currently a CPRS or CYAPSS, become a CPRS or CYAPSS within one (1) year from date of hire. The Case Manager will use their education and specialized training to assist clients, and their families, in navigating the healthcare system, accessing social services, and following their treatment plans.
