Summary:
The position of Maintenance Technician provides maintenance and repair services to all facilities and sites of the Center.
Examples of Duties:
- Provides, at the request of the Site Directors and Program Director, when authorized by the Chief Financial Officer, maintenance of Center facilities and repairs of Center equipment and furnishing not otherwise provided for by contract or other means.
- Provides ground-keeping services to specified facilities at various sites.
- Notifies the CEO, CFO, Operations Managers and/or Program Directors of site specific problems that require correction or safety related issues that may pose a hazard to staff, clients, residents or visitors to Center facilities.
- Coordinates purchases of needed maintenance supplies and/or equipment through the Business Office.
- Constructs needed facility improvements.
- Operates equipment according to manual instructions and makes repairs in a safe manner without posing a hazard to self, clients, residents, other staff or visitors to the Center.
- Follows all guidelines outlined in the CAREY Policies and Procedures Manual including Corporate Compliance Policies.
- Is expected to have regular and predictable attendance and the ability to work cooperatively with others.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; experience in construction or maintenance work preferred, mechanical aptitude required. Ability to understand and operate equipment according to manual instructions required. Must be at least 18 years of age. Completion of an annual tuberculosis screening.
