Qualifications
Brief Summary:
The Promoting the Integration of Primary and Behavioral Healthcare (PIPBH) is designed to expand access to high-quality, integrated behavioral health services for youth, and young adults (ages 16-25) with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED) and co-occurring physical health or substance use conditions at the University of Tennessee at Martin.
The program will address the significant mental health disparities affecting college students by embedding behavioral health services into college health clinics. This program aims to improve mental health outcomes through targeted services including mental health screenings and assessments, individual and group counseling, medication management, and care coordination.
Qualifications:
A master's level professional who provides a range of support services to youth and young adults facing academic, behavioral, emotional, or social challenges. This therapist works within the framework of the System of Care to help youth and young adults overcome barriers to their success and well-being, utilizing their advanced education and specialized training to offer evidence-based interventions and guidance.
