Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of School Based Services performs counseling/treatment services utilizing Best practices Guidelines.
This position covers the Weakley Co. School System for two days a week with F2F therapy services available at all the schools within the county system, in addition to the Henry Co. School system one day a week. Services at the Henry Co. Schools are offered through telehealth. Additionally, this position will be available to do outpatient therapy services in the Humphreys Co. School District.
Examples of Duties:
- Provides appropriate clinical services to a client population, age range or diagnostic grouping based upon Best Practices Guidelines and other specified tasks for which the therapist has been assigned.
- Attends all meetings (such as C.A.R.T., Foster Care Review Board, etc.) or other assigned activities (such as Liaison, court attendance, etc.) designated by the Site Director and completes all appropriate accompanying paperwork.
- Prepares and maintains all medical/clinical records in accordance with Center quality assurance policies and procedures.
- Consistently meets productivity expectation that 65% of the standard work week is spent in billable client services.
- Participates, at a minimum, in one hour of clinical supervision on a weekly basis, or as otherwise directed by the Center.
- Participates in required training to maintain credentialing status.
- Demonstrates the ability to develop quality treatment plans.
- Demonstrates the ability to develop a comprehensive safety/crisis plan.
- Is consistently on time for work and follows Center policies regarding requesting leave from work.
- Follows all guidelines outlined in the CAREY Policies and Procedures Manual including Corporate Compliance Policies.
- Is expected to have regular and predictable attendance and the ability to work cooperatively with others.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work or other Master’s degree eligible for licensure for clinical social worker or professional counselor. Carey Counseling Center, Inc. expects all Master’s level therapists to pursue licensure in the time frame designated by the health related board specific to their degree. Once licensed, the expectation is to become a Mandatory Prescreening Agent and to train for crisis supervision. Experience in a mental health setting is preferred but not required.
