The Carey Exempted Village School District is currently looking to fill the following Anticipated CHAMPION EDUCATOR position:
High School Math Instructor, Grades 7-12
We are seeking an innovative and passionate individual to join our dynamic team of educators. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a range of courses in Math, but specifically our higher levels, including Algebra II, Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus. Interested candidates should possess a valid Ohio teaching certificate or license in one of the following areas (110000-Mathematics and/or 110094-Integrated Mathematics). Our school is seeking someone who can plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons that foster critical thinking, inquiry, problem-solving, and intellectual curiosity; incorporate technology and multimedia resources in a 1:1 Chromebook environment that enhance the learning experience; use a variety of assessment methods to evaluate student performance; foster a positive classroom environment with relevant hands-on skills and activities; collaborate with other teachers and administrators to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs; and be willing to participate in extracurricular activities, such as clubs, committees, and/or coaching. Candidates should also possess an enthusiastic personality that builds excellent rapport with students, an inherent interest to innovate, aspiration to expand one’s professional learning, exhibit character and professionalism that reflects positively on our district, and the desire to make a difference in young people’s lives. Candidates with College Credit Plus credentials or a willingness to earn those credentials in the near future would be looked upon favorably.
