Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for fiberglass coating application by cleaning and sanding as needed.
- Mix resins and hardeners according to specifications to ensure proper application consistency.
- Apply fiberglass coatings to components using either brush or spray techniques to achieve desired thickness and finish.
- Monitor the curing process and environmental conditions to ensure optimal coating quality.
- Perform quality control inspections on finished products to identify any defects or areas for improvement.
- Maintain equipment and tools used in the coating process to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions.
- Proven experience as a fiberglass coating specialist or in a similar role within the composites industry.
- Strong knowledge of fiberglass materials, resins, and application techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and product guidelines.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
