The Role
We're seeking a highly experienced Senior Associate General Counsel to join our Labor and Employment team. This role will be responsible for providing expert guidance on employment law matters, including recruiting, employee relations, performance management, and terminations.
Responsibilities
- Provide employment law advice and counseling to CARFAX leadership and the Human Resources team
- Draft and refine employment-related documents and agreements
- Advising on internal investigations and partnering with investigators
- Supervising compliance with federal and state laws, rules, and regulations
- Monitoring legislation, regulations, case law, and emerging trends in labor and employment law
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Currently licensed to practice law in Virginia or currently eligible to be admitted under a Virginia Corporate Counsel Certificate
- At least 10 years' experience specializing in labor and employment matters
- Expertise in federal and state employment law required, with experience in Canada strongly preferred
