Principal Accountabilities
Assist in designing electrical projects and installing electrical equipment.Collaborate with coworkers installing and maintaining equipment.Consult with operators, supervisors, and engineers to plan equipment layout and resolve operational and maintenance issues.Evaluate the feasibility of using standardized equipment and develop specifications for additional functions.Work with voltage levels up to 480, 4160 and wire Variable Frequency Drives.Study blueprints, schematics, manuals, and specifications to determine installation procedures.Conduct instrumentation calculations and establish parameters and limits.Modify industrial electronic devices and circuits to comply with specifications.Set up and test industrial equipment to ensure proper functionality.Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to identify and prevent potential issues.Inspect industrial equipment components for accurate assembly and potential defects.Advise management on the safety of continuing equipment operation.Maintain logs recording equipment performance, repairs, calibrations, and tests.Analyze equipment problems by examining work orders and consulting with operators.Operate equipment to demonstrate proper usage and troubleshoot malfunctions.Repair, install, and adjust equipment, replacing worn parts in watertight electrical devices.Install coaxial or fiber optic cables for telecommunications.Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate repairs with manufacturers.Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.Diagnose faulty equipment using appropriate testing tools and software.Be flexible in work hours to support facility needs, including early starts or late stays.Adapt to changes in priorities and special work conditions.Follow the National Electric Code and comply with state and Cargill standards.Assist management of contracted electrical projects to meet quality standards.Participate in ongoing training to improve skill levels.Complete all assignments professionally and within reasonable time frames.Work both indoors and outdoors in varying plant environments.Enter confined spaces under supervision and proper permits.Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.Inspect maintenance needs for buildings, grounds, and equipment.Utilize a maintenance computer program to report notifications.Adhere to safety regulations as set by state and federal authorities.Follow all Cargill safety protocols, including PPE usage.Engage positively with team members and complete housekeeping duties.Attend mandatory safety and departmental meetings.Communicate effectively and courteously with colleagues.Assist plant personnel as needed and take on additional duties as assigned.Required Qualifications
Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.Must be 18 years or older.Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including bending, climbing, and working in confined spaces.Capability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.Willingness to work in extreme temperatures and elevated areas.Basic computer skills for data entry and retrieval.Ability to work overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Experience performing electrical maintenance.Familiarity with blueprints, schematics, and necessary mathematical knowledge.Must have a high degree of mechanical aptitude.Strong time management skills for prioritizing tasks.Experience installing conduit and pulling wire.Commitment to safety protocols.Reliable transportation.Competence in using various tools, including multi-meters and safety equipment.Preferred Qualifications
Experience with wiring and programming Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers.Proficiency in using electrical test equipment for troubleshooting.Knowledge of the National Electric Code.Mechanical aptitude to interpret blueprints and maintenance manuals.Apprentice, Journeyman, or equivalent license in Nebraska.A two-year degree in electromechanical, electrical systems, or related fields.Please note that this position does not include relocation reimbursement.
