Job Overview:
The Handyman Assistant and Messenger is responsible for providing support in general maintenance and repair tasks at the facilities, with a primary focus on ensuring the proper functioning and cleanliness of the director’s house area while maintaining safety and efficiency. Additionally, this role includes performing messenger activities for the administration, ensuring the efficient delivery of documents and assignments.
Main Responsibilities:Maintenance and Repairs:
- Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance tasks in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and masonry work.
- Support the repair of furniture, doors, windows, and other structural elements.
- Perform small installations and equipment or accessory setups as needed.
- Transport tools, materials, and work equipment to different areas.
- Keep tools and materials organized and in good condition.
- Comply with safety regulations and established procedures.
- Provide assistance in additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.
Messenger and Administrative Support:
You need to add here everything that must be done at my house on Fridays and Mondays, as well as being available during the week.
- Deliver and collect documents, packages, and other assignments within and outside the company.
- Perform administrative tasks, banking transactions, and other required procedures for the administration.
- Transport personal or business items as instructed by the administration.
- Support the logistics of events, meetings, or any other administrative activities.
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of transported documents.
- Maintain company vehicles in good condition and report any incidents.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in general maintenance and/or messenger services (minimum 3 years required).
- Basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
- Skilled in using manual and power tools.
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record (to be verified).
- Preferred: SENTRI pass.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Proactive, responsible, and highly confidential attitude.
- Cleanliness and presentation according to office standards, as well as responsible work performance.
- Availability for flexible schedules in case of emergencies or urgent maintenance needs.
Working Conditions:
- Work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Possible handling of moderate loads.
- Frequent travel within and outside the company for messenger activities.
- Assigned transportation and full responsibility for its proper use.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
