We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Freight Broker to join our dynamic logistics team. Duties
- Develop and maintain relationships with shippers and carriers to facilitate freight movement.
- Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers to ensure competitive pricing.
- Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to track shipments and manage logistics operations.
- Coordinate transportation planning and dispatching activities to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Monitor shipment progress and resolve any issues that arise during transit.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving concerns promptly.
- Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for growth in logistics sales.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize supply chain processes.
Skills
- Strong background in transportation planning and logistics sales.
- Proficiency in dispatching and managing carrier relationships.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on contract management.
- Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is preferred.
- Knowledge of supply chain principles and transportation management practices.
