What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Planner position at Cargo Transporters?
Primary Function : Daily plan the backhauls regional (NC, SC and VA) for all Cargo Transporters power units in an efficient and cost effective manner.Essential Position Responsibilities : Develops and analyzes daily / weekly order requirements into planning of loads and routesWork to ensure timely pick up and delivery of all loadsDaily monitoring of empty mile report for inaccuraciesMonitor late deliveries and communicate any and all issues to customersReduce empty miles fleet wide whenever possibleWork collaboratively with Fleet Leaders and Customer Service to ensure customer needs are metAssist management with special projectsPosition Requirements / Qualifications : Minimum 2 year degree required.
