Reports To: Manager on Duty
Job Summary:
We are looking for an energetic and skilled Bartender to join our team at Cargo. As a Bartender, you will craft and serve beverages while providing an exceptional guest experience. You should have a strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, and wine, along with excellent customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests, take drink orders, and provide recommendations.
- Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and guest preferences.
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and follow all alcohol service regulations.
- Engage with guests to create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.
- Process payments accurately and handle cash and credit transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, including restocking supplies and cleaning glassware.
- Monitor bar patrons and ensure responsible alcohol service.
- Assist with inventory management and report low-stock items to management.
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Bartender or in a similar role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of classic and modern cocktails, beer, and wine.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (such as kegs or cases of liquor).
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Bartending certification or training is a plus.
