Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host to join our team at Cargo. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth seating process. The ideal candidate has excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
- Manage reservations and walk-ins, ensuring efficient seating and table rotation.
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
- Communicate wait times to guests accurately and professionally.
- Assist in answering phone calls, taking reservations, and providing restaurant information.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand and entrance area.
- Work closely with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests with professionalism.
- Assist with light cleaning and setup as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a host or customer service role is a plus but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Professional appearance and friendly attitude.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
