We are seeking a skilled Billing Manager to join our team at West End Express, a Cargomatic Company, local to Dayton, NJ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the billing operations for chassis management, drayage operations, per diem invoices, and owner-operator pay.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the billing department for West End Express, ensuring accurate and timely billing of all services.
- Manage and monitor the billing process for chassis management, drayage operations, per diem invoices, and owner-operator pay.
- Collaborate with operations and sales teams to ensure that all customer invoicing is accurate and timely.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management on a regular basis.
- Develop and maintain billing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Resolve any billing issues and discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.
- Monitor accounts receivable and ensure timely payment collections.
- Train and mentor billing department staff, as needed.
- Manage special projects related to billing and invoicing as assigned by senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in billing or accounting.
- Experience in the transportation industry is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
- Ability to adapt to new technology and software systems quickly.

The expected salary range for this role is $65,000 to $80,000. The actual base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and other factors permitted by law. Decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
