Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Cold-Chain Dispatcher to join our operations team in Savannah, Charleston, or Jacksonville. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in cold-chain logistics, including the transportation of temperature-controlled freight, and be passionate about maintaining high service standards in this critical industry segment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage the dispatch of refrigerated trucks to ensure timely and safe delivery of temperature-sensitive goods.
• Monitor and track shipments in real-time, proactively resolving delays or issues to meet customer expectations.
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing cold-chain transportation.
• Collaborate with drivers to optimize route planning, reduce dwell time, and ensure proper equipment handling.
• Communicate with customers and internal teams to provide status updates and address concerns.
• Ensure proper documentation, including temperature logs, bills of lading, and delivery receipts.
• Monitor refrigeration units to confirm they meet required temperature settings and resolve any operational discrepancies.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with drivers, carriers, and customers to foster long-term partnerships.
• Analyze operational performance to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Mandatory: Minimum 2 years of experience in cold-chain logistics or refrigerated freight dispatch.
• Familiarity with temperature-controlled equipment and its operation.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, especially those specific to refrigerated freight.
• Proficiency in dispatch software and load tracking platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining the integrity of temperature-sensitive goods.

Preferred:

• Experience working with drayage or intermodal transportation.
• Knowledge of the Southeast U.S. logistics network, including Savannah, Charleston, and Jacksonville markets.

The expected salary range for this role is $60,000 to $75,000. The actual base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and other factors permitted by law. Decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
