About the role:
Cargomatic is seeking an experienced EDI & API Integrations Engineer who is passionate about building highly-scalable, event-driven components for a real-time platform.
Our ideal candidate knows the transportation and supply chain industry transaction sets, and has worked with customers and business users to successfully implement solutions. This individual enjoys building and deploying solutions that are easy to use and fully documented. *Please note that this hybrid-model role can be based from either Long Beach or San Francisco (CA).*
Responsibilities:
- EDI Engineer working with X12 standards
- Develop and test EDI to XML or JSON translation mapping for customer implementation
- Deploy, maintain, monitor integrations services (BOTS, Dell Boomi, etc.)
- Test and verify that EDI solutions are performing according to standard
- Assist in analysis and identification of process improvement and propose solutions for more efficient processing
- Implement the best technical solutions for our customers and carrier application requirements
- Provide post-production support for customers & internal stakeholders
- Identify, investigate, and resolve EDI transaction errors or other issues
- Follow-up on all questions and requests directed to the support team in a timely manner until there is a confirmed resolution
- Research, analyze, and recommend solutions to potential interface problems.
Experience and Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience working with X12 standards
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent technical experience
- Knowledge of the current Logistics/Transportation and Supply Chain EDI transaction sets
- Experience developing, maintaining, and releasing applications
- Familiarity with REST APIs and Microservices
- Experience troubleshooting complex technical communications
- Exposure to EDI development and running production operations
- Hands-on EDI support experience a plus
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and meet deadlines
- Able to work autonomously and in a dynamic team environment
- Detail-oriented with demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

The expected salary range for this role is $135,000 to $145,000. The actual base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and other factors permitted by law. Decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis.
