Job Responsibilities
The Collections Specialist will be responsible for:
- Posting daily payments to NetSuite with accuracy and timeliness.
- Forecasting weekly incoming payments to support financial planning and cash flow management.
- Participating in daily collection meetings with the Head of Collections for Cargomatic.
- Distributing aging reports to customers and following up as needed.
- Serving as a customer service representative for resolving disputed invoices.
- Issuing credit memos in NetSuite as required.
- Conducting credit checks for new customers and completing credit reference requests for existing customers.
- Gathering and inputting data into AS400, and verifying accuracy of valuable company information.
- Calculating and processing monthly commissions for the Warehouse Manager.
Key Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proficiency in NetSuite and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage customer relationships effectively.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a similar financial role.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
A background in logistics, warehousing, or transportation industries is a plus.
